The lakes are 15 in number and yes, you can swim in their cool waters. One of them, Mavri Limni (black lake), due to the mountain mass that rises near it is dark all day and according to legends of the past it is inhabited by fairies. At the end of the route you will meet the largest lake of the complex where the waterfalls end. The more daring usually indulge in spectacular dives from the surrounding rocks.
